Mountain Top - README.TXT

LONG DESCRIPTION:
Gondor created Mountain-Top signaling posts to summon its allies in the event of a major attack by the forces of evil. These posts were located on strategic mountain tops within view of the next signal post, often many, many miles away.

The forces of evil were aware of these posts and sought to destroy the most strategic and isolated ones. Gondor forces sought to defend these outposts at all costs because a break in the signal would mean help would not arrive.

SHORT DESCRIPTION (In Game): Protect the Mountain Top signal post at all costs. Expand into the valleys and destroy all enemy camps.

TACTICAL SITUATION:
You are in command of one of Gondor's most critical signal posts. Defend it and preserve it at all costs against the combined Mordor and Isengard forces in the valleys below who will seek to destroy it. If you lose the signal tower (your starting base tower) you lose the game.

HINTS:
Get your archers in the towers and build foot soldiers quickly to help defend the mountian top...then expand if you hope to withstand the hordes that will attack you..

OBJECTIVES:
Destroy all enemy camps and drive Mordor and Isengard from the vicinity of the signaling outpost.

INSTALLATION:
Unzip the attached files. They include the following files:

Mountain Top.map - The map itself for LOTR-BFME
Mountain Top.tga - The small description map seen in the game as it loads.
Mountain Top_pic.tga - Im game picture while loading map.
map.str - Contains more detailed Map Info that pops up at the start of the game.
Mountain Top-readme.txt - This file

They will unzip into a directory called "Mountain Top". Once you have placed this directory onto your computer, for example in the "My Documents" folder, you then must copy or move this folder to the proper location before it will work in the game. If you know the proper loaction, then you can unzip it directly there and avoid the next step.

To move or copy the files to their proper place on your system, use Windows Explorer and move or copy the folder to the the "Maps" folder in the "My battle for Middle-earth" folder which is in the "Application Data" folder under the user name you use on the comuter. The "My battle for Middle-earth" folder is located in the following location:

[Main Drive] (Usually C):\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\

So the full path would look like this on my computer:

C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff Head\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth file\Maps\Mountain Top
